What to review
A report is not always a free score.
Official free reports may not include every type of credit score. Scores can differ because lenders use different models and bureau data.
Possible error workflow
- Save evidence. Download or print the report and circle the item.
- Gather records. Statements, payment confirmations, letters, and identity-theft reports may help.
- Dispute with accurate detail. Explain what is wrong and what correction you request.
- Track dates and responses. Keep copies of everything you send and receive.
